Back to Health Tips

December 2006 - I have low back and neck pain but it seems to increase during the holiday season and with stress.  Is muscle pain and stress related?

November 2006 - It seems like every year I seem to hurt my back when shoveling during the winter months.  Do you have any tips on how to prevent back pain from this activity?

October 2006 - I was told that I have a “slipped disc” in my back. What does this mean and how could physical therapy help my pain?

September 2006 - I have been suffering from low back pain which has not improved.  The only thing that I have been doing is taking an anti-inflammatory.  Is there anything else that I can do to get rid of my pain?

August 2006 - Do you need to have a referral for Physical Therapy?

May 2006 - Recently, I have been getting headaches after working on the computer.  Can physical therapy help me?

April 2006 - I have three children.  Although my last child was born a year ago, I have had low back pain since delivering my first child and it has gotten worse after each pregnancy.  What do I need to do to get better?

March 2006 - When is the best time to begin a running program for the summer and avoid becoming injured in the process?

February 2006 - I am experiencing pain that seems to be in my buttock/low back and travels down my entire leg.  Is this Sciatica?  Will this pain go away on its own or what can I do to help get rid of it?

January 2006 - I have been diagnosed with “tennis elbow.”  I was told that this is something that would get better with rest and the use of a brace, but it does not seem to be getting better. What can I do to get rid of this pain?
