HOW DO WE TREAT?
- Manual Therapy
- A clinical approach utilizing skilled, specific hands-on techniques, including but not limited to manipulation/mobilization, used by the physical therapist to diagnose and treat soft tissues and joint structures for the purpose of modulating pain; increasing range of motion (ROM); reducing or eliminating soft tissue inflammation; inducing relaxation; improving contractile and non-contractile tissue repair, extensibility, and/or stability; facilitating movement; and improving function.
- Joint mobilization
- Hands on or individualized stretch that increases the joint movement to decrease pain and/or increase the range of motion of that particular joint.
- Gym exercise program
- Teaching individuals proper exercises with our rehab equipment the way rehabilitate from an injury, pain or decreased functional mobility that can be causing problems.
- Biomechanics Training
- A clinical approach evaluating how an individual moves in physical space that may be causing pain, muscle tightness, and/or decrease in functional mobility.
- Ergonomic Training
- Working with properly training individuals that have cumulative trauma injuries due to poor ergonomics and decreasing the stress placed on their bodies from improper ergonomic workstations.
- Home Exercise Program
- Individualized exercises given to each patient to perform at home that will speed up the recovery of an injury, pain or decreased function capabilities.
- Modalities
- Physical agents that are properly applied by trained individuals and will decrease pain and swelling and improve function. These include
- Electric stimulation
- Ultrasound
- Hot/Cold Packs
- LLLT (Low Level Laser Therapy)
- Teaching proper stretching techniques
- To many times individuals learn improper stretching techniques that increase the stress on the body and increase chance of injury, so a specific stretching program is designed to meet the needs of that individual.
- We offer massage therapy as treatment with patients that would benefit and have a massage therapist that will take appointments.
