HOW DO WE TREAT?

  • Manual Therapy
    • A clinical approach utilizing skilled, specific hands-on techniques, including but not limited to manipulation/mobilization, used by the physical therapist to diagnose and treat soft tissues and joint structures for the purpose of modulating pain; increasing range of motion (ROM); reducing or eliminating soft tissue inflammation; inducing relaxation; improving contractile and non-contractile tissue repair, extensibility, and/or stability; facilitating movement; and improving function.
  • Joint mobilization
    • Hands on or individualized stretch that increases the joint movement to decrease pain and/or increase the range of motion of that particular joint.
  • Gym exercise program
    • Teaching individuals proper exercises with our rehab equipment the way  rehabilitate from an injury, pain or decreased functional mobility that can be causing problems.
  • Biomechanics Training
    • A clinical approach evaluating how an individual moves in physical space that may be causing pain, muscle tightness, and/or decrease in functional mobility.
  • Ergonomic Training
    • Working with properly training individuals that have cumulative trauma injuries due to poor ergonomics and decreasing the stress placed on their bodies from improper ergonomic workstations.
  • Home Exercise Program
    • Individualized exercises given to each patient to perform at home that will speed up the recovery of an injury, pain or decreased function capabilities.
  • Modalities
    • Physical agents that are properly applied by trained individuals and will decrease pain and swelling and improve function.  These include
      • Electric stimulation
      • Ultrasound
      • Hot/Cold Packs
      • LLLT (Low Level Laser Therapy)
  • Teaching proper stretching techniques
    • To many times individuals learn improper stretching techniques that increase the stress on the body and increase chance of injury, so a specific stretching program is designed to meet the needs of that individual.
  • Massage therapy
    • We offer massage therapy as treatment with patients that would benefit and have a massage therapist that will take appointments.
